Saturday's 8th race (4:07pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is the Grade 2 San Fernando for 4-year-olds traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.
#5 Irish Art
(4-1) landed the place behind Mr. Commons in the G2 Sir Beaufort last time and has the numbers to compete here if able to transfer his turf form to conventional dirt. The versatile colt has been competitive from six furlongs to a mile and a sixteenth and reunites with winning pilot Rosario.

#1 Prayer For Relief
(9-5) projects a nice ground saving tactical trip under Bejarano. He won three Graded routes last year and was freshened after tailing off at the end of his productive 3yo campaign.
#8 Tapizar
(8-5) is a legitimate wire job threat but highly regarded runners from the Asmussen barn have been struggling at the current stand including Daddy Nose Best, Hierro, and Regally Ready. He won the G3 Sham here last January and will take them as far as he can under Nakatani.
#2 Balladry
(8-1) smartly captured a local Optional Claiming route in October and should be rolling late under Talamo. He can spice up the exotics.
The Plays:
$20 to win #5
$2 Trifecta Key 5/1-2-8 ($12)
$1 Trifecta 1-5-8/ALL/2 ($18)

be interesting to see how he does, has a good race on the synthetic. i might try riveting reason, bullets on the dirt, beat tapizar and his last race was on turf. hes not that great on turf, but has hit the board on the dirt.
