Santa Anita’s 12th race today is the $5,000,000 Gr. I Breeders’ Cup Classic.  This race will consist of males three years old and upward running nothing shorter than 1 ¼ over the dirt.

#5 – Game on Dude (9/5) is your morning line favorite and will be looking to go gate to wire for trainer Bob Baffert.  The Awesome Again gelding is five for five over the Santa Anita dirt and will have Rafael Bejarano in the saddle. Strong win contender!

Next on my list is the ten horse Ron the Greek (6-1).  Trainer Bill Mott took the Ladies Classic yesterday with Royal Delta and will be looking for the double here sending out three contenders (Flat Out, To Honor and Serve, and Ron the Greek).  The Full Mandate horse won the Santa Anita Handicap back here in March and has had some nice works since his last race.  Jose Lezcano will take the irons once again here.

#9 – Richard’s Kid (12-1) was last seen coming in a distant third in the Gr. I Awesome Again behind Game on Dude and Nonios.  Since returning to the United States Richard’s Kid has yet to finish off the board.  Garrett Gomez will get the nod here!

Plays:

$20 win, $35 place on 5

$2 Exacta 5 - 10/9/11

$2 Exacta 10/9/11 – 5
