Friday's 4th race (2:33pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is a $25,000 claiming event for fillies and mares traveling six and one-half furlongs on the main track.

#2 Siempre Esperanza (9-2) got very good after returning from a 7+ month layoff. She finished a fine second in her return and exits back-to-back synthetic sprint wins. The versatile sort hit the board in all five local starts and can compete here in her current form for the productive Maldonado/Periban combo.

#6 Hout Bay (7-2) is only 2-for-19 lifetime but both of those wins occurred here. Tyler Baze rides her well and she will try to get involved late.

#9 Your Special Day (9-2) is 2-for-3 here. She exits a solid place finish in a turf sprint and Nakatani got to know her last time.

#1 Roar Baby Roar (3-1) is a fresh prominent throughout threat for the profitable Bejarano-Hollendorfer team. She might hustle from the gate and play catch me if you can.

The Plays:

$18 to win #2

$5 Exacta Box 2-6 ($10)

$3 Exacta 2-6/1-9 ($12)
