Seven Bridges stretches out at Santa Anita

Monday's 6th race (3:35pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is a $47,000 Maiden Special Weight event for 3-year-olds and up traveling a mile and a sixtenth on the main track.

#5 Seven Bridges (9-2) had a troubled start and rallied for the show in his 6f Del Mar debut and showed much improved positional speed in another show finish at that venue Aug 29. His Pace and Final Time Ratings went up last time, which is a very good sign for a young, lightly raced horse, and Gomez sticks with the versatile sort. He's a dangerous player if able to handle two turns.

#10 Candy's Jewel (4-1) has not been seen in more than 9 months but Bejarano takes the call and he was a close-up 2nd when last seen in a local route.

#8 Dylan Donnelly (7-2) has hit the board in 5 of 6 lifetime starts and has been the beaten favorite on 3 occasions. The fresh Mitchell trainee might be best used underneath.

Also-eligible #13 Tiznow Or Then (9-2) adds blinkers and lasix for Ron Ellis. His numbers continue to climb and the fresh $300k purchase could move forward again if he draws in.

The Plays:

$18 to win #5

$3 Exacta Box 5-10 ($6)

$1 Trifecta Key 5/8-10-13 ($6)

Thanks. I actually played a small super and cashed that as well. Winning trainer Kathy Walsh also had the 4th place finisher at 36-1, so that helped inflate the super payoff.
Nice hit Jarrod!!! Great job!!
Nice tally by Seven Bridges at 5-1. Nailed the Exacta and Trifecta as well.
