Friday's 4th race (2:35pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is a $20,000 Maiden Claiming event for 3-year-olds and up dashing five and one-half furlongs on the main track.
#2 Green Team (7-2) broke slow from post 1 in an 11-horse field and ended up a respectable 6th at Del Mar Sept 5. The winner of that heat romped by more than six lengths so he was only three lengths out of the place in a better than appears debut. He hails from the profitable Heap barn and new pilot Talamo clicks with this outfit. The CA-bred gelding could go much better second time out.

#8 Chicsdigtheshark (7-2) ran an improved race off the Spawr claim at Fairplex Sept 8. The Digest clocker liked the looks of his local 5f move for this Oct 6 and he looms a pace factor at the very least.
#4 Turn on the Brites (3-1) stalked solid splits from post 10 and ended up 5th of 12 behind Bev N Bud, who came back to score again. Trainer Chew struggles with this type of layoff runner and is only 1-for-22 with second time starters. He might take too much win action.
#9 Dr Nip (4-1) receives a rider upgrade to Maldonado and would appreciate pace help.
The Plays:
$12 to win #2
$5 Exacta Box 2-8 ($10)
$2 Exacta 2-8/4-9 ($8)
