Tuesday's 8th race (3:34pm ET) from Parx is a $47,000 entry level Allowance event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course.

#1 Mineshaft Dream (6-1) was out for the exercise in her needed distant show finish (off the turf) here June 11. She graduated in a turf route and has the profitable, productive, low profile Pedro Requena/Lisa Guerrero team in her corner. She has some upside with only four races under her belt and should sit a cozy prominent throughout trip from the hedge.

The Plays:

$12 to win, $18 to place #1

EXCELLENT example of how a race evolves from the time it is announced until the time it runs AND what the player must do to keep up with those changes as they interact with how that same player must adapt to a NEW situation, NOT THERE at the outset.
QUOTE: Parx turf is so easy to predict....Strangely, it usually is as it runs more like dirt than turf since Parx is one of the turf "after-thought" race courses where no resident grass horses reside since there are few racing opportunities of them.
5/2/6/10 nuts
5/3/6/10 Nuts
off the turf means even less chance for an informed wager
5 and 10 could go wire to wire, but who knows now?
wide open after scratches and would be tough to bet as there are too few entries to pass around the wagered monies. contenders NOW; LOTS of them, but best guess is 10 First Whippoorwill 5 Well Polished 11 Queen of Rock 8 Calypsogirl
Correction...Jarrod's pick is the #1 not the 7 which scratched out. After scratches it seems like a two horse race between the #1 and #10. Value is the #5 Well polished (4/1) and longshot possible is the #11 Queen of Rock (5/1) having the biggest late kick. Good luck and I'll just watch this one!!!
Parx turf is so easy to predict.
Very interesting race with an interesting pick. The #7 does not come up on the numbers but has been prepped for this race by high percentage j/t combination. This is an angle that has been very profitable to me in the past at good odds. Good pick Jarrod. I would bet this horse only at generous odds. Take an exacta box with #7/2/10 as the favorite, #10 First Whippoorwill is legitimate and will win if the #7 misses a step, and the #2 has a pace advantage. Good luck!!!
2 , 9, 10 ,12 ran against the best pace pressure
contenders: 9 Slewie Jones 10 First Whippoorwill (not the greatest bet) 2 Christmas Angel 12 Gustavia 5 Well Polished
