Promise Me a Cat offers value in Langhorne Stakes

$12.00

Tuesday's 8th race (3:34pm ET) from Parx is the $75,000 Langhorne Stakes for fillies and mares traveling six and one-half furlongs on the main track.

Outside tactical types excel at this distance and #6 Promise Me a Cat (5-1) could sit the preferred trip. She likes this distance, reunites with winning pilot Rajiv Maragh, and trainer Carlos Martin excels with shippers.

Play Tuesday's Parx games at DerbyWars.com

#1 Los Ojitos (5-2) beat my top at the Big A (inner dirt) Jan. 17 (blinkers on). Her connections are easy to like and she projects a ground saving tactical journey.

#5 Winning Image (7-5) is an obvious wire job threat but could be vulnerable in the late stages if the pace heats up. The 3-time local winner runs well fresh.

The Plays:

$16 to win #6

$6 Exacta Box 1-6 ($12)

$6 Exacta 1-6/5 ($12)

4 horses: the race it now a joke betting wise
Track bad...horses scratching out ...only 4 horses left...no value...pass.

Contenders before scratches: #6, 5, 4, 1. I believe the favorite is legitamate, but might have a chink in its armour + will be overly bet. I'm going with Jarrod today, # 6 Promise Me A Cat (5/1)...Horse is sitting on a winning race, has class and past betting support. Bet #6 to win and exactas 6/ 5, 4, 1. Good luck!!!
the 5 has a large dominance here handicapping wise...if one could get 9/5 if would be worth a backing
contenders: 5 and 3 go out with 1 and 2 chasing......... 5 Winning Image 1 Los Ojitos 3 Ms. Cruisen' with so few entries there probably will be no good wager
