Battle of the apprentice riders at Parx

$30.00

$30.00

Monday's 7th race (3:07pm ET) from Parx is a $7,500 claiming event for 4-year-olds and up which have never won three races. They will be traveling six furlongs on the main track.

#5 Ecstatic Cat (4-1) exits back-to-back local place finishes at 5.5f. Hustling apprentice rider Caballero (2-for-8 here) is 1-for-3 with this barn and figures to have this one forwardly placed throughout. Both of his career wins occurred at this distance.

Play Monday's Parx games at DerbyWars.com

#9 Platinum Sandy (5-2) also gets in light with apprentice Castillo. New trainer Guerrero excels first off the claim and the 2-time local winner figures in the thick of things from the outset. The top two finishers from his last both came back to win.

#1 Lindell A.C. (3-1) is 2-for-22 lifetime and is probably best used underneath. I cannot find his last win but he has sharp connections in his corner and projects a ground saving tactical trip.

The Plays:

$12 to win #5

$6 Exacta Box 5-9 ($12)

$3 Exacta 5-9/1 ($6)

Hi Jarrod: This is really a bad race at a bad track...but for what it's worth, I like the #1 Lindell A.C. who I believe is coming to form and can win with a strong ride, which I believe has been lacking for this horse. One question outside of this...who the h___ is bigbill and why is he loud mouthing his selections which seem to be ridiculous anyway. Good luck!!!
