Friday's 6th race (2:45PM ET) from Pimlico is the $70,000 Very One Stakes for fillies and mares dashing five furlongs on the turf. #5 Ahvee's Destiny (5-1) desperately needed Keeneland return and could be set for her best today. She was headed in this event last year and her connections are easy to like. Stablemate #7 Canadian Ballet (3-1) also needed her Lexington return and missed by a nose in this event last year. The Linda Rice runners are closely matched so I'll let price dictate my play. #2 Starfish Bay (8-5) dueled and weakened to 6th vs. better Graded turf sprinters at Churchill April 30. The Pletcher trainee earned a triple digit speed rating in a similar Gulfstream spot in February and is an obvious low odds promient throughout threat.
