Thursday's 5th race (3:19pm CST) at Oaklwan Park is the $16k Optional Claiming event for 4-year-olds and up which have started for a Claiming price of $7,500 or Less In 2012 OR Claiming Price $16,000, going One Mile.

#5 - Tapativity (8-1): On Jan. 27th @ OP in the 6th race, a $7,500 Claimer going 1 1/16 was the PT favorite, but had all kind of issues at 1/4 pole, yet still had huge rally along the rail to get up for 2nd. On the surface it looks like a big step up in class, but with a good, trouble-free stalking trip here, he's a contender.

The Play: $10 WIN #5, $20 PLACE #5

Just what I was afraid of here. He dwelt at the start once again costing him any chance of winning the race. This horse has serious gate/ breaking problems. He needs more gate schooling but that may never help him either..

I like this one in here also. He dwelt at the start last race ,steadied during the race, and was still closing on the rail for the place last out. He has a history of slow starts . This field isn't as tough as it looks . He can down this field especially if he breaks clean and with the rest of the field. Good Luck!
