Sunday's 11th race from Monmouth Park is the G2 Molly Pitcher for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.
#3 JUST JENDA (4-1) tasted defeat for the first time in four
local starts with a disappointing show finish as the favorite behind today’s
rival #1 Malibu Prayer (6-5) in the June 26 Lighthouse. She beat that rival in
the G3 Monmouth Oaks here last year and the fresh course specialist is firing Delaware bullets for
this.
Malibu Prayer has won two straight including the G1 Ruffian at Saratoga. My top is
fresher and the Pletcher runner figures to face early pressure from #2 Stage
Trick (15-1) and #5 Queen Martha (9-5). The latter gave Rachel Alexandra a
scare here last time and we should get a true gauge on her abilities today.
