Monday's 3rd race from Mountaineer is a $22,200 Allowance heat for fillies and mares which have never won two races. They will be traveling seven furlongs on the turf course.

#4 Give Me Thy Heart (4-1) finished 2nd vs. simlar course/distance rivals May 27 and is back on turf today after shipping to Churchill and finishing up the track (off slow, pinched back) in a claiming dirt sprint June 14. She hails from a profitable barn and stalking/closing types excel at this distance on turf.

The Plays:

$12 to win, $18 to place #4

correct contenders: 7 Bourbon Best 6 Choose Honour 8 Use Somebody 4 Give Me Thy Heart
on further evaluation, the 7 has the best chance to wire, but doubt the odds would suggest backing it.
It behooves the rational investor to spread out their evaluations as widely as possible so as to discover the overlays....Evaluate usually 8 to 10 before the wallet opens for consideration and the ODDS board is the final arbitrator whether the wager is made or not.
the odds will be pitiful in this one due to little competition on the favorite and the size of the field (less spreading the bets around). Contenders: 2 Medieval Sword 1 Handsome Tiger 5 Soul Gleam ..The TWO here is so far ahead in all categories such that it will be a huge underlay and will knock a hole in any exotic as well.....Late scratches may change things, but doubtful 4 and 7 are the anticipated pace horses so one will probably hang around to add to the exotics...bad race to bet
Interesting race at Mnr. Card has to be better than my home track, H.P., was yesterday. Contenders before scratches #7, 6, 3, 8. Based on last race, don't see the #4 at all. The #6 (favorite) and #3 have run well. But the favorite may be vulnerable due to being 3rd off a layoff with contentious last races. Therefore, I would go with the #7 Bourbon Best (6/1). Bet #7 to win. Exacta 7/all. Tri...7/6, 3, 8, 4/ all. Good luck!!!
