Saturday's 7th race (3:25pm EST) at Laurel Park on paper appears to have plenty of speed, with one exception... Greek Thunder. He stretches out to 1 1/16 mile and should be heard from in deep stretch.

#1 Greek Thunder (9-2) makes his third start after nearly a year layoff. With a bit of an excuse in each of his last two coming out of the gate, this 4-year-old son of Mineshaft should relish the stretch out from 5 1/2 & 7 furlongs. Jockey Julian Pimentel retians the mount for trainer Gary Capuano. Other to consider if you play exotics are #6 - Brimstone Island (2-1) and #4 - Field Pass (5-2).

The Play: $10 WIN #1 and $20 PLACE #1

Selections for all 9 races on the Laurel Park on Saturday (Jan. 5th) card, including BEST BET and LONGSHOT PLAY of the Day, see Maryland's Own GQ.
