Wednesday's 8th race (4:49pm ET) from Keeneland is a $52,000 entry level Allowance event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course.

#1 Quinichette (5-1) earned a triple digit Late Pace Rating in a rallying place finish when last seen on the Monmouth weeds Aug 19 and the 1-3 finishers from that heat both came back to score. Napravnik is 5-for-9 with Pletcher recently.

#6 Stehekin (6-1) donned the hood, switched surfaces, and earned the best last race number in a flat mile maiden turf event at Arlington Sept 22. The $100k Keeneland sales grad is a threat if she runs a similar race in her first start vs. winners.

#9 Explainable (5-1) ran a much improved race to graduate over the Delaware lawn Sept 20. The Lael Stables filly hails from the sharp Delacour barn and should be finishing under Bridgmohan.

The Plays:

$12 to win #1

$4 Exacta Box 1-6 ($8)

$3 Exacta Box 1-9 ($6)

$2 Exacta Box 6-9 ($4)

Not today and by a Irish bred at that!
What in the heck just happened.
A Dutch 1 $18 , 8 $ 9, 13 $23
Late pace ratings mean almost the entire thing when they go 11 12 or 14 furlongs on the grass
Late pace ratings are only as good as the platform (2nd call pace) they stand upon, as , at this distance, they cannot stand alone. Close tough race where the odds will decide though contenders are: 13 Off Limits 1 Quinichette 10 Glamour N Glory 8 Finest Crystal
