Sunday's 7th race from Hollywood Park is the G2 American Hcp for 3-year-olds and up traveling nine furlongs on the turf.
#7 Temple City (12-1) carved out above par splits and fiinshed a respectable 4th in much needed local return. The early-pressing type continues to train forwardly and his last win occurred over the local weeds. Carla Gaines is a profitable 25% in the Graded ranks.
#1 Riviera Cocktail (6-1) is 3-for-3 over the local weeds and sports a bullet work for this. Tyler Baze sticks with the late-running three-peat threat.
#3 Hyades (6-1) earned the best last race Final Time Rating in a solid runner-up effort in the G1 Whittingham June 5. He scored at this distance in his US bow and owns running style versatility.
#2 Compari (5-2) is 5-for-6 on the weeds. He might get brave if able to shake loose early but will get tested for stamina at nine furlongs.
