Sunday's 9th race (4:37pm PT) from Hollywood Park is the On Trust Handicap for CA-bred or sired 3-year olds and up traveling seven and one-half furlongs on Cushion Track.
#1 Spud Spivens (3-1) is the right now horse exiting a strong local synthetic route tally vs. open Optional Claiming company under his new pilot Garrett Gomez. All three career wins accomplished over Cushion Track and he can wear these down from the cozy rail at a hint of a price.
#2 Red Defense (5-2) clearly has a nose for the wire and is 3-for-3 here. Rosario rides the versatile sort well.
#4 Mark The Bench (6-1) was nabbed out of his last by claiming artist Mike Mitchell. His sharp new trainer has been on a roll for quite some time and this one figures to play catch me if you can under Martin Garcia.
