Wednesday's 9th race (5:48pm CT) from Hawthorne is a $35,000 entry level Allowance event for Illinois-bred 3-year-olds and up dashing six and one-half furlongs on the main track.
#2 My Fever (8-1) rallied for the show from an outer post in a similar local spot Oct 26. He has run well in 2 of 3 local outings and apprentice jockey Roman got to know him last time. The 3yo gelding typically shows early-pressing speed and should get involved earlier from an inner draw this time.
#4 Cajun Diablo (7-2) finished 1.5 lengths in front of my top from post 11 here last time and that was a fine effort first off the claim. The 3-time local winner should make his presence felt throughout.
