POST TIME 4:42 EST--Decent G3 race for fillies and mares going the difficult 1 1/8 mile configuration at GP. Since there are no super stars in this field, my attention can't help but turn to the South American invader and Carribean champion, #1 Bambera (8-1). I don't care what the competition was, any filly that can win 16 of 18 is going to grab my attention especially the way she has just been stalking, pouncing and drawing away from her competition. Check out this video of the Clasico Del Caribe- G1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-XSIzZTQ0A
Love how Bambera (leader on the rail) came back and came back big when challenged late in the race. Seems like any kind of horse and sure has been working up a storm at Calder. As the mystery horse, should produce some nice value at the windows. Getting the one hole with the short run to the first turn only helps her chances.
Don't dismiss #7 Champagne Eyes (15-1). She is a classic ON/OFF/ON/OFF angle horse. If that pattern continues, she is due for an ON race especially since the race comes up shy on early speedsters.
#6 Miss Singhsix (6-1) will surprise some at decent odds. Better proposition for the bottom of your exotics as that deep closer running style has not proved profitable at this track. Put #5 Even Road (10-1) in this category as well.
#8 Unrivaled Belle (2-1) is worthy of favortism but provides not value. #4 Aurora Lights (3-1) could be heard from but, again, doesn't offer much value.
