From out of the clouds and Jessica I believe her name is picked him strong. Whenever I like a horse everyone else like's it's a loser. To a man everyone had Morning Line picked including myself.Seems like women (Zenyatta,Rachel,Jessica)are dominating this sport on and off the track. to funny lol
That Zito pattern is definitely in play. However, if you look at Fly Down's post layoff patterns he seems to be one that gets better progressively over a few races. In addition, owners are pointing this one to the 2011 BC Classic so a long campaign of racing ahead and no urgency to win today. Morning Line, on the other hand is being pointed to the Dubai World Cup next month. Had his "get back to racing shape" race in the Ft. Lauderdale after an energy depleting huge run in the BC Dirt Mile. Back to his preferred distance and ready to pick up where he last left off. Connections need a huge race here to ensure a trip to Dubai. All systems go today. The horse that scares me in this race is Rule. I still think that game third place finish int eh FL Derby last year was one of the best efforts from a front runner all year long. Other top speed horses in that race like "First Dude" collapsed so you know that when Rule is right he is going to be as tough as nails. My only question mark is distance but I didn't seem to care too much about distance when he was an early Derby entry so not so sure it should matter much today. Pace will determine the outcome. I am not projecting a pace meltdown. There was far more "all out" speed in the Ft. Lauderdale and closers did not gobble it up late.
unless I Want Revenge draws in a lot of dead money I think your looking at about 2-1.
When Zito runs two horses in a race his history shows the weaker one(on paper) usally wins.I realize GP isn't friendly to closers but there is that angle with Fly Dow and Morning Line.
My sentiments exactly! I highly doubt that we will get 4-1 but that would be a great surprise. Good luck!
