The Hutcheson looks fairly open-and-shut. For one, the race shape seems to fall into the lap of either D' FUNNYBONE or A LITTLE WARM. The former is first back off the Breeders' Cup and back on dirt. He's a pure sprinter and is the one who will press WILDCAT FRANKIE (whom I expect to regress). If D' FUNNYBONE needs a race, A LITTLE WARM is the one who I think runs him down.

The problem? Price. Both horses figure to take action. CITY TROOPER, meanwhile, seemed to develop nicely last year and could wake-up with the cutback and turf-to-dirt angles. If RADIOHEAD scratches, this play loses luster. Otherwise, let's try and get him to run second.

$50 Exactas 7-8/2
$20 Win 2 (Saver win bet, in case he runs massive)
Dutrow said yesterday he's "almost positive" he's going to scratch Radiohead (because of the rail).

Cigar, I agree with your assessment on City Trooper. He has the pace figures to tangle with D' Funnybone and A Little Warm and not flame out. That six furlong race on Jan 9th run by Wildcat Frankie and A Little Warm resulted in a unusually high BRIS figures. Toss that one. The next race run by Wildcat Frankie confirms the freakishness of that sprint race.
Do you have word that Radiohead might scratch today?
