I found 3 horses that could steal the race.

4-Pleasant Prince: Finished 2nd in his last race which is an allowance race going the distance they'll be running this Saturday.

6-Prince Will I Am: Also finished 2nd in his last race which is the same as what #4 ran.

10-Ice Box: Won his last 2 races by a half length including a exact-distance allowance in Gulfstream.

My best bet will be 10. I think he could give Jackson Bend a good run. He might get bump down from the 10-1 morning line, but not too much.

$40 WP on #10=$80
$30 WP on #6= $60
$20 WP on #4= $40

Nice super.
I'm having my doubts about Jackson Bend as well - and Buddy's Saint is coming off a lay-off. I like you're thinking (but then again I'm a sucker for an upset) Good Luck.
  • horses · Aikenite could get a dream trip from the rail and rebound from last time. Big chance. · 2319 days ago
It's so hard to resist long-shots that have a chance. I hope it happens. Thank you.
  • mshutty · I think you are both on to something. Even Bruce Levine, the trainer of Buddy's Saint has his "lay off" excuse ready as you can see below in the Kentucy Derby Contenders section below. I know this isn't a track that is kind to closers but for upsets I agree that Pleasant Prince and Ice Box are live. Also, consider Pulsion. Finishing less than two lengths behind Lookin At Lucky in the Norfolk was no fluke. Toss the freaky BC Juvenile race as you can for so many others that ran in one of the slowest paces ever run in this race. If you like value, take a look at Radiohead in the Hutcheson. Hey Nation, what other potential upsets do you see in the big races today? · 2319 days ago
