Donn Day Early Pick 3

Amount Bet:
$94.00
Amount Cashed:
$104.00

Let's try to kick Donn Day off right & hit the early pick-3, so we have some extra cash to play the competitive stakes later in the card. The focal point of the bet will be #4 Spring Hill Farm in the 3rd race, who is lone speed and owns the highest speed figure in the field. Spring Hill Farm is also bred to run well on an off track, as the track was sloppy on Friday. I'll also lean heavily on #2 Desert Storm in the 2nd race. He was heavily bet last week (5-2 down from 12-1 ML) in a Md Sp Wt, but threw jockey Jose Lezcano off at the gate, ran off and was scratched. Last week's race was at 1 1/8, so today's race at 7 furlongs may be a little short, but it is encouraging that Mott wheels him right back here to attempt to get the maiden broken, rather than wait for a route race to fill.

Came back a little chalky, really needed to beat the favorite in the 1st, but made a little since the bet didn't cost quite a much due to some scratches.
Really needed that #13 in the 1st race 11-1!
Pletcher is loaded today at GP as he goes for win 3,000! His Spring Hiil Farm should be on the lead.
