Thursday's 4th race (2:09pm ET) from Gulfstream Park is an Optional Claiming event for 4-year-olds and up dashing five furlongs on the turf course.

#5 Fast Time (6-1) is less than a length away from a perfect 3-for-3 turf sprint record. Today's pilot Paco Lopez booted him home at this course/distance last year and his other local score was an off the turf romp. Lisa Lewis shows a profit with turf/layoff runners and I like his running style versatility.

The Plays: $16 to win, $24 to place #5

Thanks cognibene, amino998, and marylandgq. Hope we all cash together.
Great analysis Jarrod and heads-up on the Lisa Lewis angle. I'm with you on this one!
actually the ONE horse has a shot as well
before scratches 9, 8, outside shot to 5
Nice trainer and versatility analysis. I’m leaning towards a 5/8 exacta box, although it may become a chalk box as the wagering proceeds.
You got it right Jarrod. Bet #5 Fast Time to win. Exactas 5/all. Tri...5/9, 2, 5, 4/all. This should be the money run as horse should offer value. Good luck!!!
