Surfspun Attempting to Break Maiden

Guflstream's 5th race contest of 12 three year old horses, traveling five furlongs on the turf.

I kinda like Surfspun, because I his first race he faded after setting the pace wide around the turn. Ideal post, plus he holds experience over most of the field. Johnny V hops on to ride.

I have a general rule not to bet to much on maiden so: $3 WPS on #2 Surfspun

Edit: should read "half the field" in the above.
Surfspun would be a no play according to criteria, that being that in MSW races with lightly raced entrants, the choice must have finished ahead of at least have the field in the same conditions in its most recent race, furthermore, only horses who finished within five lengths of the winner should be considered as betting prospects. The Johnny V. angle is a very good dynamic though, good luck with your play today.
