Card suffered dearly with the off the turf, and despite being very formful gave out very good payoffs. At least in the Pick 5 did, and shelled out an easy $345.80. The 15% takeout is a great thing, and gives great opputunities in comparison to the 22+% takeout on Pick 6's on the west coast, plus a likliehood if you do cash of paying way to much in taxes. I wish more tracks would follow the example of Monmouth and Gulfstream on this bet, especially NYRA, who needs to grasp the $0.50 increment as a must. NYRA complains about Aqueduct and Belmont not getting bet enough. My advice would be to make changes and try some new exotic bets. The way to attract bettors is change and new ideas. Monmouth and Gulfstream have been incorporating many new ideas, and are beginning to relish in the increased betting they have recieved reciprocaly.
