Monday's 9th race (6:23pm ET) from Fair Grounds is an Optional Claiming event for 4-year-olds and up traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course (rail at 26 feet).

#2 Romeo Lima (10-1) returned to finish a rallying 3rd in a local turf sprint Feb 12. He won two turf routes at AP last year under today's rider Valdivia (3-for-10 w/Roussel) and he might move forward 2nd off the shelf.

#8 Synchrony (10-1) was on the Derby trail last year and was able to land the show in the G3 Lexington. Stidham has him now, dam has tossed a turf winner, and he might be able to move up 2nd off the shelf

#10 Sir Dudley Digges (12-1) upset the Queen's Plate last year and has not won since. He exits an okay 5th in the Woodchopper (beaten 2.75 lengths) and the 2-3 finishers were next out winners.

The Plays:

$18 to win #2

$3 Exacta 2/8-10 ($6)

$3 Exacta 8-10/2 ($6)
