The ninth race at Fair Grounds today (2/23) is the 32nd running of the Gr. III $200,000 Rachel Alexandra.  This contest will consist of three year old fillies running a mile and a sixteenth over the dirt.

#1 – Finding More (8-1) will be making her graded stakes debut for trainer Kellyn Gorder.  The Trickey Trevor filly has three wins from five starts and will be looking for number four today.   Finding More was last seen finishing fifth in the Silver Bullet Day back on January 19th but was wide throughout most of the race.  Will likely be contending for the pace early on.

#7 – Unlimited Budget (5-2) is the morning line favorite of the bunch for trainer Todd Pletcher.  The Street Sense filly has yet to taste defeat in her two career starts.  Unlimited Budget was last seen winning the Gr. II Demoisel back on November 24th at the Aqueduct.  Rosie Napravnik will be in the saddle.

#3 – Dancinginthecircle (7-2) will be coming off a layoff for trainer Larry Jones.  The chestnut filly has two wins, two seconds, and one third place finish from six career starts.  Dancinginthecircle has some nice works under her belt and will be looking for her first graded stakes victory as well.  Terry Thompson will take the irons.

#9 – Midnight Ballet (8-1) will be making her first start outside of California for trainer Thomas Proctor.  Midnight Ballet has two wins from four starts and will have Gary Stevens aboard.  Both of her wins have come over the synthetic surface so we will see how she takes to the dirt.
