Thursdays 9th race from Fair Grounds(4:47 post) is a Starter Optional claimer going about 5 1/2 F on the turf course.  Been in a little slump on my last few plays so it's time to right the ship and with it being close to Christmas maybe pick up some nice cash money on a live long shot today.  I'm looking at the #10 -True Bee (20-1) in this race. This horse seems to always be placed above his head in competition but a  closer look in here says he is back in where he can pull the upset. He has run a lot of different distances and on all types of  surfaces this year with a few good efforts on the turf and 1 nice effort at 5 1/2 on the turf earlier in the year.  Up and coming young jockey Brian Hernandez Jr. will be in the irons for trainer Bobby Barnett on this one.

My plays: #10- True Bee $30.00 win /place  for $60.00

       $2.00 exacta box (6,7,10) for $12.00

The topic was sprinting, that refers to humans, horses, possibly dogs IDK canine racing.

Yes, quarter horses is a straight out sprint, as fast as possible for as long as possible. But the topic was T-Bred, not quarter horse.

Don't try and use my horse against me. And no, a proper sprint IE Quarter Horses is as fast as possible for as long as possible.

That isn't really true, cocoa. Tell that to Silky, or countless others who closed from far out in a sprint race. Not ever horse in a sprint "Is running as fast as possible for as long as possible."

Sprints are as fast as possible for as long as possible. I use pacemaker to explain the lead horse.

Most people don't realize that many a fiver is a sustained effort: a sprint wire to wire, but in a measured dsitribution

pacemaker at 5 furlongs? Surely you jest
travel_vic | 12/6/2012 3:28 PM |  - Re: A Bombs Away play at Fai...
Stay there, actually, a pacemaker does not get there.
cocoa2 | 12/6/2012 3:18 PM |  - Re: A Bombs Away play at Fai...
Oh. The rail has been playing nicely. But if it is on the turf DL might not get there.
