Saturday's 7th race (3:55pm CT) from Fair Grounds is an Optional Claiming event for fillies and mares traveling one mile on the turf course (rail at 10 feet).

#5 Kidding (9-2) overcame a lack of pace to score impressively as the favorite in a local $17.5k turf route Nov 29. She confiedently scurries back up the ladder for sharp turf trainer Burgess and Guidry rides her well.

Play Saturday's Fair Grounds, Gulfstream, and Tampa Bay games at DerbyWars.com

#6 Ausus (6-1) was taken out of her tactical comfort zone in a 9f Churchill turf affair Nov 25. She won't be double digits back this time for profitable trainer Peitz.

#3 Divine Lorretta (8-1) has been part of the Trifecta in 10 of 11 turf starts and owns two wins over the local green. The consistent LA-bred beat open company here Nov 22.

The Plays:

$24 to win #5

$4 Exacta 5/3-6 ($8)

$4 Exacta 3-6/5 ($8)

This is a value race. And there is a horse that looks hard to beat at a price...#9 North By Northlite (8/1). Horse will be alone on the lead and will be hard to run down as the lead will widen when he hits the turn. Bet #9 only at 8/1 or better. If so take exactas 9/all. Tri...9/ 6,2,3,10/ all. Don't see the #5 at all. But could be wrong...been wrong before. Anyway, good luck!!!
