Friday's 5th race (3:08PM CT) from Fair Grounds is a claiming event for 4yo's and up traveling six furlongs on the main track. #4 SCORPIAN’S RUCKUS (4-1) rallied to miss by a nose off the shelf last time. Not much pace today, and he’s more than capable of showing tactical speed. #9 Executive Chief (5-2) came again to best my top last time, and he also goes 2nd off the shelf. He looms the target for a sharp outfit but cannot be trusted to run two alike. THE PLAYS: $18 to win #4, $6 Exacta Box 4-9 ($12)
