Saturday's 10th race (4:25pm CT) from Fair Grounds is the $100,000 LA Champions Day Turf for 3-year-olds and up traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course.
#5 STRING KING
(6-1) is an interesting mid-priced contender. He ran well to land the place
from post 11 as the beaten favorite when last seen at LAD Sept 24. The 3yo
gelding earned improved numbers in his last pair and has been freshened for
this. Graham hops aboard the 2-time turf winner.
#2 Kissimmee Kyle (3-1)
probably needed his last in the off the
turf Mr. Sulu. He has fired Trifecta shots in all seven turf starts
including four Exacta finishes in New Orleans. He probably springs forward for
Albarado/Stall.
#3 Wildrally (9-2) packs a decent late kick at times and Rosie
booted this one home in a local Stakes Jan 8.
#9 Old Bushmill (4-1) has reeled
off three straight and his numbers are going the right way. He runs well fresh
but might prefer the LAD lawn.
#10 First To Bingo (20-1) was claimed out of his
last and seems worth throwing in underneath. He likes the local green and was
competitive against this type in the past.
THE
PLAYS: $16 to win #5
$3 Exacta Box 2-5 ($6)
$1 Trifecta 2-5/2-3-5-9/2-3-5-9-10 ($18)
