Friday's 6th race from Emerald Downs is a $12,500 NW3L claiming event for 3yo's traveling five and one-half furlongs on the main track. Inside speed dominated at this distance last week and #5 Certified Diamond (7-2) could be quick enough to run the other speed into the ground. The returnee has hot connections in his corner and sports the best overall Pace Ratings. If my top fails to last than #2 Blame The Jockey (3-1) could be poised to pick up the pieces. The Golden Gate invader owns running style versatility and broke his maiden at this course/distance last summer. The Plays: $18 to win #5, $6 Exacta Box 2-5 ($12)

Visit Horse Racing Nation for the best list of 2010 Kentucky Derby contenders.  Currently, the top Kentucky Derby favorites are Eskendereya, Lookin At Lucky and Sidney’s Candy.
