Thursday's 6th race (4:40pm PT) from Del Mar is a $25,000 claiming event for fillies and mares which have never won two races. They will be dashing six furlongs on Polytrack.
#2 Babyneedsnewshoes (6-1) earned the best last race number in a clear place finish behind hot rival Attack The Jack (won again on 7-5) at BHP June 15. Sharp trainer Bill Spawr claimed her for $12.5k that day and she figures in the hunt thoughout in a race that came up a bit light on pace. She removes the hood and shows three local drills for this.

#9 Mrs. Rosa (7-2) landed the place in a similar local spot July 19. Belvoir does fine work first off the claim and Gomez strings along.
#5 Briteyednbushytailed (8-1) looked good in her extended sprint graduation run June 16. She followed that up with a Starter Allowance turf route place finish and a 7th in the local Fleet Treat Stakes. She drops into a logical spot and is capable of showing early-pressing speed.
The Plays:
$18 to win #2
$8 Quinella 2-9
$4 Quinella 2-5
