Thursday's 4th race (3:40pm PT) from Del Mar is an $8,000 claiming heat for fillies and mares traveling one mile on Polytrack.

#6 Unkept Rendez Vous (7-2) rallied for the place in a local $8k sprint Aug. 21 and new trainer Victor Garcia is 9-for-18 first off the claim. Jockey Agapito Delgadillo is clicking with this barn here.

Interesting race with a full field of low level claimers. Contenders before scratches: #6, 5, 2, 1. The #6 Unkept Rendez Vous (7/2) is the legitimate favorite...although I can't understand why. The horse has shown on numerous occasions that it doesn't like the route distance. Therefore I would go with one who does....#2 Hawfinch (4/1). Bet #2 to win. Exacta 2/all. Tri...2/6, 5, 1, 11/all. Good luck!!!
