Saturday's 10th race (5:30PM PT) from Del Mar is the G1 Pat O'Brien for 3-year-olds and up traveling seven furlongs on Polytrack.
#10 El Brujo (3-1) figures to offer a hint of value in his second start for Bob Baffert. He came off the shelf and got the wrong setup when Cost of Freedom blew the break and today's rival
Smiling Tiger got loose in the six furlong G1 Bing Crosby. He has struck multiple times on Polytrack (Keeneland, Turfway, Woodbine) including two wins at seven panels. He sports a local bullet for this and Rosario is 62% with Baffert recently.
#6 Crown of Thorns (2-1) has not been seen since a nose defeat in the '09 BC Sprint. He easily graduated in lone start at this distance and shows a local six furlong bullet for this. Rafael Bejarano sticks and the Mandella trainee should be fit and ready to fire a big shot.
