Wednesday's 5th race (4:05pm PT) from Del Mar is an Optional Claiming event for CA-bred or sired fillies and mares traveling one mile on Polytrack.
#1 Casey's Clem (6-1)
finished a solid 3rd from post 9 vs. similar local rivals July 27. Baltas shows a nice profit with his synthetic starters and she should save all of the ground under Trujillo at playable odds.

#2 Passionville (7-2) ended up a length in front of my top choice here last time, her first start for trainer Phil D'Amato. Bejarano sticks with the stretch threat.
#5 Winninginfashion (4-1)
exits a romping local score and might sneak away again under Maldonado.
#9 Grazenette (3-1) is also conditioned by Phil D'Amato. She exits a solid 3rd in the 7f Fleet Treat and graduated at one mile on turf before that.
$12 to win #1
$6 Quinella 1, 2
$1 Trifecta 1, 2 with 1, 2, 5, 9 with 1, 2, 5, 9 ($12)
