Friday's 3rd race (5:00pm PT) from Del Mar is an Optional Claiming event for 3-year-olds and up dashing five panels on the turf course.
#1 Clubhouse Ride (3-1) has not won since 2010 but ran well against salty company (Smug, Obviously) in his last pair and should finish full of run behind lively splits. Talamo rides him well and the fresh gelding sports a pair of local drills for this.

#6 Malibu Knight (9-2) broke slow and failed to get involved in a similar local spot July 25. He fired Exacta shots in his other three turf sprints and Bejarano strings along.
#7 Red Jag (5-1) owns five Exacta finishes from six Florida turf sprint outings. Mulhall has him now and she reaches out for fine grass rider Nakatani.
