Thursday's 6th race (4:40pm PT) from Del Mar is an Optional Claiming event for 3-year-old fillies traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course.
#5 Mary Fildes (4-1) flashed Great Britain turf ability in 2011. She raced four times at Meydan (Tapeta) earlier this year with two underneath finishes to her credit. Callaghan does fine work with new additions to his barn and Bejarano ends up here. She finished up well in her local 4f turf drill (Bejarano up) on July 19 and should offer a hint of value.
