Hammers Terror the one to beat today

Race 8 from Canterbury Park (5:56pm eastern post) is  The Brooks  Fields Stakes for 3yo and up going 7 1/2 F on the turf. The #3 ,#10 ,and #11 have scratched from the 11 horse field making it a 8 horse race for now. It looks like the turf was rated yielding yesterday so not sure what it will be rated today. I prefer a firm  turf for my top selection today which is #9-Hammers Terror. This is his 3rd race of the year after running at Ap and Woodbine on the all weather surfaces there so this is his first turf race of the 2013 season. He has won a stakes at this track in 2012 at about 1 mile distance taking them flag fall to finish. He should be on or near the lead in this one I would guess . He runs good on the turf and all in all is a versatile 4yo colt out of Artie Schiller. This looks to be the right race and distance for him to get in the winners circle in 2013.

My play: #9- Hammers Terror (4-1)  $60.00 win

He likes that track to.
I agree jmac500. He is a very underrated colt that a lot of people are unaware of at this point of his career. I like him a bunch.
He is a nice horse.
Wire to wire winner on a yielding turf course. He was game in the stretch after being challenged pretty much all the way down the stretch to win by 1 length. Bet $60.00 win cashed in for $132.00 . He was bet down to 6/5 late from 2-1 and paid $4.40 for the win.Nothing to brag about but better than tearing them up.
