Saturday's 9th race (5:16PM ET) from Belmont Park is the G2 Suburban Hcp for 3-year-olds and up traveling nine furlongs on the main track.

#6 Haynesfield
(5-1) has a nose for the wire and is 2-for-2 at this distance. I love his early-pressing versatility and the talented NY-bred projects an outside tactical trip under Dominguez. He is a head away from a perfect 4-for 4 local record.

#1a I Want Revenge (7-5) easily captured both of his conventional dirt starts and earned big numbers both times. The Dutrow trainee has not been seen in more than a year but is training well for this and can be placed anywhere under Talamo. Normally I would try to beat this type of returnee coming off an injury but this is hardly the toughest Graded assignment.

#5 Regal Ransom
(2-1) still has plenty to prove. The '09 Super Derby hero had everything his own way in that event and won't have that luxury with Dutrow rabbit Pictural and my value top Haynesfield breathing down his neck. He hails from a deadly layoff outfit but the Godolphin colorbearer might come up a tad short in his first start in more than seven months. Note that he is 2-for-2 at this distance.

#3 Convocation (4-1) is winless in four Graded tries and seems best at a flat mile. He owns a decent finishing kick and can grab a piece of this.

#2 Eldaafer (10-1) earned triple digit Final Time Ratings in last pair and can land a minor award in this spot.

The Plays: $18 to win #6, $6 Exacta Box 1-6 ($12)
