Thursday's 8th race (4:37pm PT) from Betfair Hollywood Park is a $40,000 Maiden Claiming event for 2-year-olds fillies dashing five furlongs on Cushion Track.

#5 Larocco (7-2) is a $30,000 Keeneland sales grad by decent sprint sire Yes it's True and dam has tossed two winners. Dollase shows a profit with first time starters and aggressive pilot Maldonado is 3-for-10 with this outfit recently. She is stabled here and will probably show speed.

Play Thursday’s Betfair Hollywood Park games at DerbyWars.com.

#1 She's Holy (9-2) disappointed in her local bow but has been training here all along and Gomez is 2-for-2 with Miller recently. The daughter of Ministers Wild Cat can go better today.

#3 Silver N Sassy (6-1) drops from the special weight ranks and gets in light with hustling apprentice Orozco.

The Plays:

$18 to win #5

$6 Quinella 5/1-3 ($12)

5 3 8 too many firsters
Very tough race...nothing stands out. I would stay away from this race. However, on paper, for what it's worth...Contenders before scratches....#6, 9, 5, 1. The #9 Daylightfully (9/2) looks very dangerous having both class and early speed. The #6 gets a jock change, shows hidden improvement and is dropping. The #5 and #1 have shots based on favorable t/j combinations. Value goes to the #6 Inherit the Throne (6/1). You pick'em. Good luck!!!
Best bets based upon morning line possibilities are:3 Silver N Sassy 6 Inherit the Throne 9 Daylightfully 4 Audrey Rules LONG SHOT is the 2 Lovely Instinct The 9 appears to have a shot to wire, and the 6 has the best late moves, and in maiden races SPEED over stamina works all the time...NOW, with so many first timers here, the odds would have to be generous to back a Dutch here.
