Sunday's 6th race (3:38pm PT) from Betfair Hollywood Park is a $32,000 claiming event for 3-year-olds and up traveling six and one-half furlongs on Cushion Track.

#1 Royal Meridian (4-1) is out of the Optional Claiming ranks 3rd off the shelf. He owns two wins at this trip and graduated at this course/distance last June. He gets pace to chase and should save all of the ground before rallying under Espinoza.

#2 Gutshot Straight (5-2) was nabbed out of his last by claiming artist Hollendorfer. The 2-time local winner reunites with barn $$ rider Bejarano, who rode him to a show finish at Santa Anita March 23.

#8 Gnarly Dude (7-2) exits a sharp course/distance tally for $20k and is an outer tactical threat in his current form.

The Plays:

$18 to win #1

$6 Quinella 1/2-8 ($12)
