Hollywood Turf Cup G.II Picks

This is going to be a box selection of four horses I like to hit ITM. H-Park is reporting that the surface is firm, but Southern California has been on and off with rain this past week. Therefore, the surface cannot be rock hard typical in so. cal, which will benefit more speed.

If I like these in the paddock and post parade prior to post time I will select these:

3) Slim Shadey- Multiple G.1 performer. Coming back from BC Turf dropping down in class today. S. Callaghan a good trainer.

4) Grandeur- Euro shipper with good heart and class while in competition in the U.S. Nice turn of foot for the m/l and p/t favorite passing the entire field of 13 to grab 2nd. Typical euro style turf horse that is slow at the first half then fires at the stretch. I think Grandeur will benefit with the distance, pace, and Gomez on-board that does well with closer types.

6) Grassy- R. Bejarano + Claiborne Farm + El Prado. Do not underestimate Bejarano. 2nd last race in the BC Marathon returning back on Turf. The somewhat not so firm turf I mentioned and last two w/o on turf at H-Park I like.

9) Private Affair- Originally from S. America competing in G.1 competition. Longshot, but I like the 20-1 odds for the lowest weight horse to hit ITM. I like the 1st off an Allowance coming of  a one year layoff. Hopefully this mare will not bounce since her fields had been for fillies & mares in the U.S.

This is more of like a casual exotic bet for me as I am not really grinding so much.

$1 Tri Box: (3,4,6,9) = $24

Good Luck Everyone
