Wednesday's 8th race (4:57pm ET) from Aqueduct is an Optional Claiming event for NY-bred 3-year-olds and up traveling one mile on the main track.

#2 Indy Tune (4-1) was nabbed out of his last by claiming artist Nevin. He exits a wide 5th from the outside post on the inner dirt March 10 and the 2-3 finishers from that heat came back to score. He has not won in quite some time but lands the cozy rail for quality connections and should be forwardly placed throughout.

The Plays:

$16 to win, $24 to place #2

has been my expereince that the splitzacta template (top and 2nd) should go top and third with multiples in between as the contra energy horse places over 55% of the time. Famous booklet called the 55% solution by Howard Sartin
7 2 1a 1
Tri 5-267-all and 7-5- alll
Also he is coming off of a BULLET workout for 4 furlongs. Evidence of his getting better.
In this race Get the Basil looks to be better than these. But should he falter,Giant Finish can be the one to knock him off.He is coming off of a race on the inner track on Gotham Stakes day. Track that day played to and incredible speed bias. Going 2 turns he was caught 4 to 5 wide the entire trip. Today he gets the 1 turn mile and is improving. Sciacca not one of your elite trainers by any means,is starting to win a bit. Trainers like him need AQ. and their lesser fields to make money and win some races. With this horse it is most likely his last time here. Think might be of value.
an open race that has many possible variations beyond the top two
before scratches, the contenders are: 4 Go Get the Basil 7 Call for the Clock 2 Indy Tune 1 Warrior Up overall 4 7 5 3 since it is again difficult to predict the pacesetters here.
