Wednesday's 8th race (3:44PM ET) from Aqueduct is a Starter Allowance event for 2-year-olds sprinting six furlongs on the inner dirt.

Early-pressing types have dominated at this distance on the inner dirt and #3 Bravo Romeo (7-2) could sit the right tactical trip behind #2 Hardshell and #4 Brahman. My top choice is now under the care of Rudy Rodriguez and his sharp new conditioner is an impressive 46% with new additions to his barn. He captured his first two claiming sprint starts and was last seen dueling and weakening in the productive Garden State Stakes at Monmouth Park Sept 25.

Bravo Romeo was one of the first eliminated here coming in from snoring slow fractions with a feeble late move....Easy to eliminate as that one cannot even match a single entrant here early or late. Several question surface however: can the rail horse Winning Wildcat overcome the later biases of Woodbine to transfer to the early bias of inner Aqueduct? If so that one has a good chance to hit the board and an outside shot to win if the pace collapses. The SPEED here is between the 2 Hardshell and the 4 Brahman and one of these may just clear and run off with this. The LONG SHOT consideration in this field has to be the 5 (For Wes) a horse that has the style to win here but would have to have lots of luck (pace collapse of the other two) to garner hitting the board but stranger things have happened when the bias is in full bloom as it can get on the inner.

We were down there for the Garden State, Bravo Romeo was on our radar. Pretty sure he went off as 23-1 then he ran out of gas, but definitely fits well in here. Rudy is also 28% is dirt sprints. Possible LATE PICK 3 template 7 thru 9....R7 3-6-2 w R8 3-7 w R9 4-5-9 for $36
