Well this might clarify the 3 year old field some, regarding who is the best. Too bad Tapwrit not here.
Talk about a horse for course! One race a year, one win a year, all at Del Mar!
He walked out of the gate, and still managed to win big. Definitely one to watch on the grass.
Love Con Te Partiro. She's named after an Andrea Bocelli song which means,"Time To Say Good-bye." She will be saying good-bye to the field, after she takes the lead in the stretch.
Will carry the Magnier colors.
If West Coast were trained by any other trainer, he would be 25/1 or higher, even with his last win (and rightly so). As it is I expect he will be 3/4 choice. The Baffert favoritism is strong with this one (Which isn't always a bad thing) But I want no part of WC. I simply don't think he has faced any sort of competition, and running here is a huge step up. Say this crop is weak all you want, but so far they have at least been competitive, and the top horses have all come from outside of California. none of the 'best' Cali horses have been any threat this year, that doesn't speak much for the 2nd tier horses WC has been running against.
Stonestreet's posted a video of Valadorna working at their training center. "Check in with Valadorna, who is doing great out at our training center and working her way back to the races!" Video on their Facebook. She's looking good!
Not sure how this horse is 11/1 in Travers futures right now. Seems like great value. I think it's between him and West Coast.
