Wow! What disrespect to Arro-great. if Bob feels he is healthy enough to enter the starting gate at any time in 2017, all others running for second.!
One of my favorite horses. Followed him during that triple crown season and I was only 12 years old. The Prince and Arts and Letters battled it out in those races. I was at Belmont Park in 1969 for the Belmont Stakes hoping to see my first Triple Crown winner. When he was paraded in the paddock, I took a few pics with my brownie camera. You could have heard a pin drop. The Prince is the most strikingly handsome horse I have ever seen. Royally bred. Shining chestnut color. Just beautiful. And one of the best jockeys in history riding him. This horse made the drop noseband a fashion statement! Arts and Letters finally had his day, but what a race.
  • Paladin · Longden didn't want to run him in the Belmont. Didn't think he fit enough but the Owner overruled him. · 17 hours ago
