Medlocke · I'm not sure what kind of relationship that Robbie Albarado has with Todd Pletcher? But if I were Robbie, I'd look into getting the mount on Rule. It's pretty certain, I think, with Johnny Velazquez being the regular rider on both Rule and Eskendereya that he'll go with Eskendereya given his recent performance in the Wood Memorial. But I still really think, and Velazquez even admitted as much himself, that had Rule been given the correct ride in the Florida Derby, he win's the race. Velazquez told Pletcher himself he made a mistake in the race, by not dropping Rule in right behind the pace, because he had a lot of horse under him. For 95% of the Florida Derby, Rule was much the best in the race, and I really believe had he not been allowed to get into an early speed dual with Pulsion, he may have had enough to hold off both Ice Box and Pleasant Prince in the Florida Derby. I still think, if he get's the right post position, a trouble free trip, and doesn't try to be the speed in the race, which will likely be Sidney's Candy, that Rule will still be a factor in the 2010 Kentucky Derby. He's a very effective colt on conventional dirt, and if he can get any sort of ground saving trip at Churchill Downs, he'll be right there in the stretch drive with a shot at snagging the roses. arazi · Ok, I watched this race and it's really worth watching. Very basic, Conveyance on the lead and then Endorsement tracking, followed by Nacho Friend and Tempted to Tapit. They all got solid trips. But for some reason, Endorsement had a ton, powered away from the unchallenged frontrunner and won with ease. The three horses he put away were coming off Beyer figs of 96, 93 and 91, so they weren't bums. Maybe he's just getting good at the right time? What does everyone else think? · 792 days ago ·

His second dam was a champion in Argentina and second damsire was a long winded runner over the lawn. Endorsement's trainer Shannon Ritter is an excellent, dedicated horsewoman and a former Asst. invasor · Looked at the fractions and the early going was pedestrian (23.7 48.04 and 1:11.9). Thinks picked up in the final two furlongs and Endorsement finished with a sub :13 final eighth.
