kedez2012 · I certainly have no DISrespect for Fort Larned, but I do think his win was overshadowed by the incredible performances we saw from Groupie Doll, Wise Dan, Royal Delta, and even Shanghai Bobby. Those four are so clearly the top horses in their divisions while the older male division has been a little inconsistent this year. I do think that it's between Fort Larned and Wise Dan for older male, possibly with Fort Larned getting my vote since he has run more races at the "classic distance" that everyone loves so much · 195 days ago ·

Mike in SB · I think Fort Larned will be champion older male. In the past even when a turf horses won Horse of the Year, champion older male has gone to a main track horse. The only exception I can think of is Gio Ponti in 2009, but that had to be the weakest group of older horses in history. · 195 days ago ·
