hshfarms · I think Maker's comments are dead on, the horse cannot seem to stay relaxed, and because of that he will never win any of the route races. Work him to be a miler, he would be almost un-beatable. I also think Maker is tired of the human Hansen and he has gotten on Maker's every last nerve. There was no "Great White Hope." Union Rags does not need a new trainer, he needs a new jockey. I will admit that I thought Leparoux would be a good fit, boy was I wrong. He needs to work that horse, not just hang on for the ride. Michael Matz has forgotten more about horses than most people know, he will get Union Rags straightened out. · 377 days ago ·

This 20 horse field every year is ridiculous and until something is done about it the best horse is always going to be compromised (not that Rags was the best horse) but look at the quality of the field and the where they finished. gelded1 · I didn't see any Kentucky Derby material in this race.I had the #13 to win with 3 horses boxed in the exacta and left the #12 out.
