Lucky got a 97 Beyer for his impressive, troubled run. Give the same fig to Noble's Promise, not bad at all for his dirt and 3yo debut. Dublin was 3 back in third, so figure about a 90 for him. Not a terrible race for Dublin considering he was 5 wide the first turn, and then launched his move 4 wide on the far turn. That's not the place to be at Oaklawn.

Very impressive race by Lookin at Lucky. If you didn't see it, watch the replay, because he gets checked pretty hard on the backstretch. But coming for home, Garrett Gomez had tons of horse. Very nice dirt debut for Noble's Promise, but it's still hard to imagine him going a mile and a quarter.

Garrett Gomez was pretty amazing flying up the rail to grab the win at the very last second. Nice race for Richard's Kid to head to Dubai with.

Thanks, mdracing69. I don't see a big payout here but we can all keep our tickets very narrow at the top to keep the investment down. I am liking #9 Thomas Baines more and more. Not for the win spot but even more solid in the second hole at a great price. Gomez is off in favor of #1 Alfarabi but Tyler Baze picks up the mount for O'Neill. I think he's going to appreciate the firm, low cut turf at Santa Anita as he makes his second start off the layoff. According to BRIS, other than Alfarabi, he's the only horse in the field that ran a a late pace number in the 90's after posting an 80+ pace at the second call. You know he'll improve second out and with so many others stretching out to a route for the first time...many of those will post lively early fractions but have nothing left in the stretch. Nice set up for this closer.

Great ride by Garrett Gomez aboard my top choice April Pride ($17.80) in the Ramser. He tucked in 5th after breaking from the outside post, and he was able to save valuable ground while holding the others safe. That is how you ride on the weeds! Century Park saved all the ground from the rail post and held the place over late runner Starlarks.

One of the great things about Gomez, and its probably his biggest asset, is his ability to finish. He really knows how to maximize his horse down the stretch. He might be one of the top ten finishers on a horse of, dare I say it, all time.

Gomez was awesome today... sweeping the stakes at Turfway. Whereever he goes, he wins. Today, he takes the Ky Cup Distaff on Indescribable ($6.20), the Sprint on El Brujo ($7.60) and the Classic on Furthest Land ($14.80).

Ventura has always been at her best up to a mile around one turn, and she showed a high turn of foot in good looking Woodbine Mile tally on Sept 20th. Garrett Gomez is everywhere. He was at Louisiana Downs on Saturday prior to his win aboard Ventura in Canada on Sunday.

Internallyflawless, in just her second start of her 3yo season, ran a huge one to take the Del Mar Oaks. Nice improvement from her two-year-old form and nice training job by Baffert... she beat a solid bunch including Starlarks, Strawberry Tart, Well Monied and Nan who finished second at a big price.

Pioneerof The Nile was my BC Juvenile top. He is definitely one of my top 3 Derby choices.
